Some notable no-shows include Jenn-Air, Sub-Zero, Thermador, Wolf and Viking

\r\n

For its part, Sub-Zero and Wolf scheduled their own event on 2/25 this year, as it has tended to do in recent years, in lieu of attending KBIS. We’ll be posting details of the event here in the days after.

\r\n

SKS is a premium appliance line from our friends at LG that combines bold yet beautiful high-end design with the leading-edge innovation and features you’d expect from LG. They were the big buzz of the show last year and we’re excited to see what they bring to the table this year.

\r\n

They certainly have a large presence in 2021 with two interactive 3D kitchens with the ability to get hands-on experience with all of their newest appliances and earn rewards through in booth challenges.

\r\n

Plus, they’ll be hosting a “Design & Tech” panel along with daily cooking demonstrations with Chef Nick, the resident Executive Chef at the SKS Experience Center in Napa, CA.

We’re Also Excited to See the Health and Well Being-Focused Assortment From Beko

\r\n

Beko is a relative newcomer to the US but has been one of the top appliances manufacturers in Europe since the company started in 1955. It is now sold in more than 140 countries worldwide.

\r\n

Coming into KBIS 2021, Beko is touting what its US President, Zach Elkin, is calling the company’s “...biggest commitment ever to promoting healthy and sustainable living through award-winning technology.\"

\r\n

For years, Beko has been one of the most efficient brands in Europe, but this commitment goes beyond efficient operation. For example, Beko French door refrigerators further reduce their carbon footprint with EverFresh+® and Active Fresh Blue Light technology, which - along with meticulous temperature management and precise humidity control - can keep fresh food fresh for as long as 30-days.

The Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) is the leading industry show for appliances. It kicks off tomorrow and runs through Friday (2/9-2/12), but - like everything else - in a very different way this year. For the first time ever, the KBIS show will be virtual. And while we won’t be able to make our annual pilgrimage to the show, we’re looking forward to seeing what the manufacturers come up with this year.

Here’s what you can expect from what’s been publicized and what we’ve heard from select brands we represent.

2021 Best of KBIS Finalists

The finalists for best in show awards were released in January in anticipation of the event. Appliance manufacturers included:

Dacor for its 24-inch Integrated Wine Dispenser and Transitional 30-Inch Combi-Speed Oven

Dacor Transitional 30-Inch Combi-Speed Oven

GE Profile™ 30-Inch Smart Slide-In Front Control Range with Induction Cooktop, Fingerprint Resistant Finish and In Oven Camera (PHS93XYPFS)

GE PHS93XYPFS

LG STUDIO WashTower™

The winners will be announced on Friday 2/12.

Who Will Be There?

There are a lot of great brands presenting their latest line-up at the show this year. In addition to Dacor, GE Profile, LG Studio and Liebherr mentioned above, brands like Beko, BlueStar, Bosch, Cafe, DCS, Electrolux, Fisher & Paykel, LG, Miele, Monogram, Samsung, Signature Kitchen Suite (by LG) and Thermador are all participating this year.

The show tends to skew a bit higher end so it’s nice to see more mainstream brands like Bosch, Cafe, GE, LG and Samsung with feature-laden products more than worthy for the show.

Speaking of GE, here’s their hype video for their Monogram, Cafe, Profile and Mainline GE booths.
